About the event

This 3-session course offers an introduction to Buddhist meditation and is appropriate for those new to meditation as well as those looking to strengthen an existing practice. A variety of Buddhist meditation techniques will be covered, including shamatha (mindfulness meditation), vipassana (insight meditation), metta (loving-kindness meditation), tonglen (compassion meditation), etc. The ancient spiritual philosophy, as well as modern day neuroscience, behind each of these practices will be shared, giving students a solid foundation with which to continue a meditation practice after the course ends.

Time: 7:45pm to 8:30pm ET  (45 minutes long)

Days: Wednesdays, 10/4, 10/11, 10/18 (3 sessions)
